CLUNIA TEMPRANILLO 94 POINTS WINE ENTHUSIAST MAGAZINE

This 100% Tempranillo selected harvest comes from a specific vineyard called «El Gerbal» at 950m above sea level. At this altitude, the area’s extreme climate shapes the style of the wine, fresh and true to its varietal character. Sandy, chalky soils with lots of clay help to generate concentration and varietal character.

The 94 points awarded by Wine Enthusiast to Clunia Tempranillo 2016 add to the long list of awards that this vintage mounts up, with Gold Medals obtained in the Berliner Wein Trophy as well as in Mundus Vini and the 92 points awarded by the Peñín Guide all standing out.

At 1,000 meters above sea level, the vines struggle to survive the harsh summers and equally extreme winters, resulting in wines of great aromatic concentration, freshness and structure. Elegant, full bodied wines with ripe tannins that have convinced the Wine Enthusiast tasters to award 94 points to this Clunia Tempranillo 2016.
